NJ Transit Light Rail Driver, Four Passengers Injured In Burlington Township Crash

Five people were injured when a New Jersey Transit light rail train crashed into a truck in Burlington Township, officials said.

Four passengers and the train's operator suffered injuries on Friday, Oct. 11, a NJ Transit spokesperson said. The crash happened near Dulty’s Lane Crossing at around 6:10 a.m.

All five injured people were expected to survive their injuries. There were 36 customers on board the train.

The River LINE was temporarily suspended between the Burlington Town Center and Florence stations. Service has resumed with up to 15-minute delays.

NJ Transit police are investigating the crash.
